Prior to joining Olson Zaltman, Kathy worked in Insights & Strategy for a Fortune 500 CPG company for more than 20 years, where she was a catalyst for change in behavioral science and anointed by her leadership and peers as the "Chief Emotional Officer.” Her passion for emotion paired with an insatiable curiosity for behavior change made her one of the first recipients of an internal award for change.
Diving deep is one of her passions in life and work. In life, scuba diving has fueled her soul for being close to animals and adventure, diving with Hammerhead and Tiger sharks in Costa Rica. In work, diving deep is the only way to find true meaning and disruptive insights that breathe life into 100 year old commoditized brands thirsty for reinvention.
Kathy graduated cum laude with a BS in Apparel Design and Manufacturing from University of Wisconsin Stout. While in the corporate sector she obtained 30+ Design and Utility Patents in the area of garment construction, fit and design.
